My Husband and I are buying a family home that was built in the 1870’s. It is in need of alot of repairs. . The home is in need of windows and doors. This is were we want to start. We have already replaced the plumbing. and started some other needed repairs so we could move in. I am on disability and Mike was diagnosed with bladder cancer in october. We are also raising our 9 month old grand daughter. We are trying to do the most important things as needed and as money will allow.
I would like to volunteer but I also need some gutters on my house. Thank you for consideration. If gutters are not available, I would still like to volunteer but I can’t seem to get the application to come up.
My cousin told me about this rebuilding together, and I love the idea of it! I am writing to you in hopes that you would consider my situation. My husband and I own the home, since 2009/2010, at $65,00. The value of our home has gone up since then, so we have tried to refinance, but didn’t qualify at the time. So we waited, paid up on our bills, built our credit back, and now we could refinance, but are playing the waiting game with various options. Not only does our house need a lot of work, but we have built up so much debt in the process of trying to keep our bills paid on time.
Our home was built in 1889. The kitchen was an addition, not sure of when… but I don’t think it’s insulated! The sliding door in the kitchen is off track a bit, it doesn’t close right, there is a window that is old, pexi-glass I think, and the back door (connected to kitchen area), is about to be on its last screw. There is so much more wrong with the house, like wiring, for instance, it scares me sometimes! I’m hoping if you could help us out, it would ease the stress of a mile long to-do list! When we finally refinance, and pay off our debt, we will basically be back at square one, and will have that wiggle room for only necessary updates. If you see our house I think you would understand that it need a lot more than we can handle! Thank you for your time!❤️🙏🏼
